Malahat Skywalk

In partnership with the Malahat First Nation, the Malahat Skywalk Corp., a group of private investors, plan to construct an exciting new tourism attraction on Vancouver Island. Solstice Creative has the pleasure of taking on two-phased public relations plan to launch the new tourism entity.

 
 
  • Phase one focused on the regional market targeting local media, stakeholders, and the public. The goal was to position the project and positively engage the local community and stakeholders while mitigating any negative perceptions.

    • Key messaging developed to support the project and partnership

    • Consultation with key tourism marketing organizations to coordinate messaging for the launch

    • Seeding of the story to key local journalists in advance of the release

    • Press releases developed and distributed with media, influencers, and stakeholders in the area

    • Hand pitching to media to secure interviews with all major outlets including broadcast, radio, and print

    • Facilitation and coordination of resulting interviews

    • Monitoring of social and public conversations concerning the development

  • 25 print, digital, and broadcast pieces achieved with the coverage being resoundingly positive in tone. Total Impressions: 198,498,670.

    Phase two of launch, including national/international focus commencing early 2021.
